Boston Celtics Attempted To Claim Jeremy Lin Twice

The Boston Celtics attempted to acquire New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin twice when he was on waivers, according to CBS Boston.

The Celtics were beaten by the Houston Rockets who first claimed Lin last December when he was originally waived by the Golden State Warriors after only averaging 2.6 points per game last season.

Once again, Lin was waived by the Rockets and the Celtics were bested by the Knicks who were in need of support at the point guard position.

Ever since the injury-riddled Knicks gave him a chance to play, Lin has taken advantage of the opportunity shocking the world with his elite style of play.  Undrafted and overlooked by two NBA teams, Lin, averaging 24.2 points per game, has provided a resurgence for the Knicks leading the team to seven straight victories.
