The Buccaneers had claimed Haynesworth off waivers after playing only six games for the New England Patriots. In his seven games played for Tampa, Haynesworth recorded 25 tackles.Once recognized as a top defensive tackle during his seven seasons with the Tennessee Titans, Haynesworth’s play began to take a nose dive after he signed a seven-year, $100 million deal with the Washington Redskins in 2009. Ever since, the defensive tackle has struggled to acquire any sort of long-term deal, playing short stints first with the Patriots and now with the Buccaneers.
