Former league Most Valuable Player Allen Iverson is reportedly interested in making a comeback to the NBA, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.com. Sources told Broussard that Iverson was willing to play in the NBDL or out of the country if it means getting a chance to play in the league again.

"Allen only wants to play if there's a possibility that it leads to the NBA," the source told Broussard. "That's the only way he would go to one of these lower leagues. He wants to get back to the NBA and leave the game on his terms."

Iverson is mired in financial trouble, and the 36-year-old was reportedly on the Los Angeles Lakers' radar recently.

The 4-time scoring champion is reportedly hoping that something materializes in the near future. "Nothing is imminent," the source said, according to Broussard. "The only thing that's imminent is Allen's desire to show people that he's still got a lot to offer on the basketball court, even if it's just helping young guys learn from the mistakes he made."
