Barack Obama Wants 49ers' Vernon Davis In Chicago

Vernon Davis is spending his offseason campaigning for the reelection of President Barack Obama -- and as it turns out, the love is mutual between the prez and the San Francisco 49ers tight end.

"I want to thank Vernon Davis for being here. If you want to come and play for the Bears, you are welcome to do it," Obama said, according to NFL.com.

The Niners' six-year veteran was thrilled to be mentioned by the president. Here's the reaction he tweeted last night:
