Los Angeles Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak has talked to Minnesota Timberwolves about small forward Michael Beasley, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

The Lakers were actually in discussions with Minnesota about a potential trade for Beasley before the season started, according to reports.  With the trade deadline approaching, the Lakers have picked up efforts in attempting to acquiring another potential scorer to pair with star Kobe Bryant. It was previously reported that the Lakers were talking with the Timberwolves about a potential trade that would send All-Star center Pau Gasol to Minnesota. The Timberwolves believe he would be a good fit alongside Kevin Love, and they believe that Gasol would enjoy playing with fellow Spaniard Ricky Rubio.
