The NBA has suspended Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo for two games for an altercation with an official, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Rondo threw a ball at an official Sunday night in an 81-96 loss to the Detroit Pistons. Rondo was ejected after receiving two technical fouls in a span of five seconds in the third quarter of the loss. Rondo is averaging 14.8 points and 9.5 assists per contest in 22 games for the Celtics this season.
