Wizards center JaVale McGee has drawn attention for a variety of things, both on and off the court this year, that have little to do with helping Washington win basketball games.

Earlier this season he was scolded by his former coach Flip Saunders for throwing an alley-oop to himself off of the backboard during a fast break in a game the team ultimately lost. He also was mocked by many blogs for an incident last month when he sprinted back on defense while his team still had possession of the ball.
