The New England Patriots have expressed their interest in keeping wide receiver Chad Ochocinco but for less money, according to Sports Business Journal’s Liz Mullen.

Under Ochocinco’s current contract, he is due $6.2 million for the next two seasons.  However, considering his unproductive 2011 season, the Patriots would only like to keep him if they can reconstruct his contract. Last season, Ochocinco caught 15 passes for 276 yards and one touchdown.  In the 21-17 Super bowl loss against the Giants, he had one catch for 21 yards.
