The Orlando Magic have inquired about the availability of Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis, according to ESPN’s Chris Broussard. According to Broussard, the Magic are hoping to acquire Ellis to make forward Dwight Howard happy.

Earlier Wednesday night, it was reported that the Nets had no interest in trading center Brook Lopez for Ellis. This season, Ellis, 26, is averaging 22.2 points, 5.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.
