Hawks Re-Sign Center Erick Dampier For Remainder Of This Season

The Atlanta Hawks have re-signed veteran center Erick Dampier for the rest of the season, according to the Associated Press.

Dampier originally signed a 10-day contract with the Hawks on Feb. 9, filling in for the injured Al Horford and Jason Collins. He's since played in six games for a total of 30 minutes -- he's yet to score a single point, but he's contributed 11 rebounds and two assists off the bench.

Horford tore his left pectoral muscle in January and may miss the remainder of the regular season; Collins sprained his left elbow on Feb. 2 and could miss another two weeks.
