James Farrior has been cut by the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a tweet from his agent Ralph Cindrich.

Farrior had been a two time Pro Bowler for the Steelers of his 10 year-career with the team. Last season, in 14 games, he had just 57 tackles, his lowest amount since starting just six games for the New York Jets in 2000. The 37-year-old became the latest casualty in a string of moves that have helped the Steelers reduce their salary cap figure by over $37.4 million. This week, Pittsburgh cut longtime star wide receiver Hines Ward, and chose not to franchise tag standout wide receiver Mike Wallace.
