The Boston Bruins have signed goaltender Marty Turco to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday. No details of the contract were disclosed.

Turco will join the team on Wednesday if he clears waivers, and he will not be allowed to play in the 2012 playoffs if Boston makes it, since he was acquired after the trade deadline.

A 10-year veteran, Turco, 36, holds a 273-165-43 record. Six times in his career Turco has compiled 30+ wins in a season.

Turco was most recently playing professionally in Austria.
