Yesterday, Illinois lost in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament to Iowa; the Illini lost 12 of their last 14 games overall and ended the season with a 17-15 record. Weber led the Illini to the Sweet 16 and the NCAA Championship game in the first two years of his tenure, but hasn’t advanced past the second round since then. Weber, 55, had been the head coach at Illinois since the 2003 season and finished with a 210-101 overall record.
