Report: Broncos Trio Suspended For Violating Substance Abuse Policy

Three Denver Broncos were suspended by the NFL Friday, and a report in the Denver Post states that the trio has violated the league's substance abuse policy.

Linebacker D.J. Williams and defensive lineman Ryan McBean were each suspended six games, and tight end Virgil Green was suspended four games, it was announced Friday.

The paper is reporting that Williams and McBean will appeal the suspension. All three players tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, according to the report.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Williams released a statement wherein he claimed that the NFL contends that he "provided a non-human specimen."
