The Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Calvin Johnson to a seven-year, $132 million contract extension, according to ESPN. The deal includes $60 million in guaranteed money.

Johnson, 26, emerged as one of the game’s most dominant wide receivers last season. In 16 games for the Lions, hehauled in 96 receptions for 1,681 yards and 16 touchdowns.Johnson’s presence on the 10–6 Lions helped them gain over 5,000 yards through the air in 2011. Over the course of his career  he has caught 366 passes and 49 touchdowns.
