David Wright Out With An Abdominal Tear
New York Mets, third baseman David Wright hopes to get back on the field this week, but a left rectus abdominis tear will keep him sidelined, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Adam Rubin.

Wright received anti-inflammatory injections for his slight tear or strain this week, which trainers believe will help accelerate his recovery.
“Basically what the doctors have told us is he had essentially plateaued — there was a little bit of soreness, not a great deal — but that this will accelerate the recovery process,” GM Sandy Alderson told the New York Daily News.
