The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired forward Sam Young from the Memphis Grizzlies for rights to Ricky Sanchez, who was drafted in 2005 and is currently in Argentina, according to David Aldridge from NBA.com.

Young is in the final year of his three-year rookie deal, making $947,000 this season.  He is expected to be put into the 76ers $2.7 million trade exception. Young was chosen 36th overall in the 2009 draft by the Grizzlies.  In his three seasons with Memphis, he has averaged 6.9 points per game.
