Yankees' Derek Jeter Out Until Next Week With Calf Injury

New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter has a calf injury and will miss several days of spring training action, according to Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York.

"Jeter's calf was tender," Yanks manager Joe Girardi said. "It is his left calf. It is not the same one as last year. My plan is not to play him until Tuesday."

Jeter has played in seven games for the Yankees this spring, hitting .278 with five singles in 18 at-bats and scoring three runs. He will miss the team's four exhibition games this weekend against Washington, Houston, Baltimore and Houston again.
