During an event held by the Golden State Warriors to retire the jersey of Chris Mullen, the ceremony was interrupted when fans booed team owner Joe Lacob.

Rick Barry, a former Warriors legend, at one point grabbed the microphone and pleaded with the Warriors fans to “show some class.”

“You fans are the greatest fans in the world, as everyone has said,” Barry said. “Show a little bit of class.”

“This is crazy,” Barry continued.

Mullins also pleaded with the crowd to support the team’s relatively new owner. Lacob purchased the team in the summer of 2010. In the two seasons since taking control of the team, the Warriors have gone 54-71.
