Report: Tim Tebow Would Prefer To Play In Florida

The Denver Broncos officially signed free agent quarterback Peyton Manning to a five-year deal, meaning last year's hero Tim Tebow will likely be traded. And if it were up to Tebow, he'd prefer to return to his home state of Florida, according to a friend.

Monica Culpepper, the wife of ex-Florida Gator Brad Culpepper, told a Tampa radio station Tuesday that Tebow expressed his desire to return home.

The Culpeppers reportedly had dinner with Tebow last week.

"[I]n all honesty, Tim said, 'I miss home," Tebow said, according to Culpepper. "I miss the South. And hopefully I'll land somewhere in Florida.'"

Jacksonville seems like a worthy fit, though the team already has two quarterbacks, including first-round pick Blaine Gabbert.

Neither Tebow nor his agent have commented since the Broncos signed Manning.
