As if the San Francisco 49ers' receiving corps wasn't already loaded enough, the team announced today that Ted Ginn. Jr. was coming back for another season:
In addition to inking Ginn today, the Niners also picked up Mario Manningham, plus they brought Randy Moss out of retirement last week. Put that power trio together with incumbent Niners wideout Michael Crabtree, and you're looking at quite an arsenal for quarterback Alex Smith.
Ginn made 19 catches for 220 yards last season; he also gained 466 yards returning punts and 800 returning kicks.
Ginn, a former No. 9 overall pick who turns 27 next month, has been one of the best special teams weapons in the game for the last five years. He's 24th among all active NFL players with 8,527 total all-purpose yards.
