Rangers' Mats Zuccarello Out Indefinitely With Fractured Left Wrist

New York Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello is out indefinitely with a fractured left wrist, according to ESPN.

Zuccarello injured the wrist in the first period of tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres. At the 8:48 mark in the first period, Zuccarello turned away from a shot by Sabres defenseman Jordan Leopold and was hit on the wrist. He skated back to the bench, climbed over the boards, left the ice and did not return.

Zuccarello had quickly become a fan favorite in New York after a stint in the minors. He was recalled March 11, had an assist in his first game back, then scored goals in consecutive games against the Colorado Avalanche and New Jersey Devils.
