The Houston Astros have released starting pitcher Livan Hernandez from his minor league contract, according to Zachary Levine of the Houston Chronicle.

The 37-year-old pitcher has pitched for Washington, San Francisco, Florida, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado and the New York Mets, winning 174 games with a 4.39 career ERA.
