21-year-old Liam Stacey lost his appeal of a 56-day jail term for tweeting racial remarks about Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba, according to The Guardian. Stacey was convicted of racially aggravated public disorder.

"He was intending to say what he said and was intending to produce the effect that he did,” the judge said. Stacey admitted to tweeting racial remarks after Muamba collapsed during a match against Tottenham Hotspur. Muamba remains in the hospital, according to BBC News, but he tweeted this picture from his bed on Friday. Stacey was arrested after other users reported his comments.
