Ravens Safety Ed Reed: 'I Want To Play Football'

Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed is 33 years old, and he's not ready to walk away just yet. Speaking to media members at tonight's University of Miami Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Reed said he was still feeling the itch to play football again.

"I want to play football," Reed told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "It’s something me and my team have been discussing the last couple of weeks. My partners, they do a great job of making sure I know the pros and cons of what’s going on with my body and with the organization and where we’re at. I plan on doing it, but depending, it could change."

Reed has played 10 NFL seasons, all with the Baltimore Ravens, who selected him with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2002 draft. He's racked up 462 tackles and 57 interceptions during his tenure in Baltimore and made five Pro Bowls, and he's not ready to walk away from the Ravens.
