Crosby was hit by a puck off the stick of Islanders defenseman Dylan Reese, with 18:17 left in the second period and the Penguins trailing the Isles 1-0. He had to be taken off the ice; he returned to the Pens' bench about eight minutes later.

It's been a rough season for Crosby, who's battled concussion symptoms all year long. He has played just 17 games for the Penguins, who nonetheless rank second in the Eastern Conference with 100 points in 76 games.
