The University of Arkansas confirmed that head football coach Bobby Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident last night. The school released a statement from Petrino’s family on their official website, stating that he has suffered multiple injuries.

“Coach Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening that involved no other individuals,” the family’s statement read. “He is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. Our family appreciates respect for our privacy during the recovery and we are grateful for the thoughts of Razorback fans at this time.”

The Razorbacks are halfway through their spring season and are scheduled to play their first spring game Saturday, April 21. There’s no word yet on Petrino’s availability for the remainder of the spring slate. Petrino will be entering his fifth season with the team where he holds a 34-17 record, and has been to three bowl games.
