Bobby Petrino Returns To The Field After Motorcycle Accident

Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino, will be released from the hospital today after being injured in a motorcycle crash and plans to attend practice this afternoon, according to USA Today.

He was listed in stable condition after the accident with only a few broken ribs and some scratches, but his return this afternoon will be limited.

"Coach Petrino has continued to improve and is scheduled to be released from the hospital later this (Tuesday) morning," Arkansas athletics director Jeff Long said in a statement. "Doctors have cleared Coach Petrino to attend practice on Tuesday and observe from the press box. His physicians will continue to monitor his progress throughout his recovery. We look forward to Coach Petrino's continued improvement and full resumption of his duties as head football coach."

Petrino is expected to meet with the media after practice today to speak about the accident and his current condition.
