Major League Baseball has released its list of the top 20 players in the game by jersey sales -- and surprise, surprise, New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter has found himself once again at the top of the list.
Jeter beat out Cliff Lee of the Phillies, Albert Pujols of the Cardinals and Angels, Josh Hamilton of the Rangers and Roy Halladay of the Phillies to hold down the No. 1 spot, according to CBS.
The list was heavily East Coast-biased, as ten of the 20 players atop the list played for either the Yankees, Phillies or Red Sox at some point in 2011.
Jeter had a slow-starting season in 2011 but finished strong, ending the year with a respectable .297 average and 24 doubles. He entered the history books on July 9 with his 3,000th hit, a home run at Yankee Stadium.
