Warren Sapp Files For Bankruptcy

Former NFL defensive lineman Warren Sapp has filed for bankruptcy in Florida, according to TMZ.com.

Sapp, according to TMZ, owes more than $6.7 million to various creditors – which includes hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support payments to at least four different women. He owes over $800,000 to the IRS for 2006 and $89,000 for 2010.

According to TMZ, Sapp said he has only $6.45 million to his name, but he has lost his 2002 Super Bowl ring and his 1999 National Championship ring.

Sapp currently works for NFL Network as an analyst after playing in the NFL for 13 seasons with the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 39-year-old said his current salary with the NFL Network is $540,000 per season, but his deal expires in August and he’s unsure if the network will extend his deal, according to TMZ.
