The Seattle Seahawks have signed cornerback Marcus Trufant to a one-year deal, just a month after being released, the team announced Monday.

The Seahawks said that the reason for Trufant's original release was so that he could test the free agent market. Trufant, 31, has spent all nine of his NFL season with Seattle. He has missed portions of the last two seasons with a back injury.
