ESPN analyst and former University of Michigan star Jalen Rose fired back at the school’s administration today after the University’s president, Mary Sue Coleman, said she would not allow the team’s Final Four banners to be re-raised.

Coleman said on Tuesday that even though the school would be eligible next year to re-raise the four banners they were forced to take down as a result of NCAA violations from the 1990’s, that the school would not likely do so.

"What happened was not good, and I don't think they'll ever go back up. I don't," Coleman said Tuesday.

"Some day, I won't be president anymore, and maybe someone else will have a different view. But I think you have to reflect on the larger meaning and that we want to hold ourselves to a higher standard." The two Final Four appearances came in consecutive years while future NBA stars Jalen Rose, Chris Weber, and Juwan Howard were underclassmen.
