Amar’e Stoudemire is expected to return to the New York Knicks lineup on Friday, according to the New York Post.
Stoudemire has missed 11 straight games for the Knicks, and will miss his 12th straight against the Boston Celtics tonight. The All-Star power forward has struggled with a bulging disk and has managed to play in just 43 games this season. The team is 7-4 in his most recent absence.
The 29-year-old has averaged 17.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this season. Last year he averaged 25.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. The Knicks are currently 31-29 and are tied with the Philadelphia 76ers for the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.
