The hearing will convene Friday at the NHL’s headquarters in New York, to discuss an illegal hit Torres delivered to Chicago forward Marian Hossa in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

The hit came late in the first quarter as Torress left his feet knocking Hossa to the ice, where he was then carried off in a stretcher. Torres has recorded 15 goals this season with 11 assists.
