With the first pick, the Colts could choose one of the two top quarterbacks which could be Luck or former Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Both quarterbacks have equally impressed many analysts and NFL coaches with their performance on the field in college and at the NFL combine. By telling Luck they will be choosing him as their next franchise quarterback, the Colts will be allowing the Washington Redskins, with the second pick, to choose Griffin. The 2012 NFL Draft will take place on Thursday, April 26, followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 27. Rounds 4-7 will be held Saturday, April 28.
