The Washington Redskins have signed free agent linebacker Bryan Kehl, according to the Redskins' official website.

On Monday, Kehl visited with Redskins officials at the team's practice facility and agreed to a contract.

Kehl, formerly an outside linebacker with the St. Louis Rams and New York Giants, is expected to move to inside linebacker where he would back up London Fletcher and Perry Riley. At 6-foot-2, 244-pounds, Kehl appeared in 14 games for the Rams last season. In his four-year career, Kehl has recorded 110 tackles, one sack and one interception.
