Toronto Blue Jays closer Sergio Santos’ MRI results came back on Monday confirming that there is no structural damage in his right shoulder, according to the Blue Jays website.
Santos was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday and is set to visit orthopedic surgeon Lewis Yocum to provide confirmation of the MRI results.
Manager, John Farrell commented Santos’s status saying that the news was good, and that Santos won’t throw for 10 days to two weeks after that the team will "initiate the throwing program." Prior to the injury Santos had played in six games posting 9.00 ERA with four strikeouts. During his career he has recorded 3.53 ERA with 152 strikeouts.
