Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Basketball Super League has hired former Syracuse associate head coach Bernie Fine as a consultant, according to CBS Sports.

Fine will reportedly serve as an aid on both player and coaching personnel matters, but will do so from the United States.

Fine had served as an assistant at Syracuse for 36 years under head coach Jim Boeheim, an era in which the Orangemen won over 800 games and made five Elite Eight appearances. The 66-year-old coach was fired this season after allegations arose that he had molested two former ball boys. Find has continuously denied any wrongdoing, and no charges have been filed.
