The Detroit Tigers have released infielder Brandon Inge, according to CBS Sports.

Inge, 35, was hitting .100/.100/.300 with one home run in 20 plate appearances this season. Last year in 269 at bats he hit .197/.265/.283 with three home runs. Inge was an All-Star for Detroit in 2009. That year he finished the season hitting .230/.314/.406 with 27 home runs and 84 RBI.
