Report: Matt Leinart Likely To Sign With Raiders

Six years into his NFL career, Matt Leinart is looking like a bust, but there are still teams out there willing to give him another chance. Leinart is visiting with the Oakland Raiders and appears likely to sign, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Leinart had a frustrating season last year -- the former USC quarterback broke his collarbone in late November, requiring season-ending surgery. He started just two games and finished the season 10-of-13 for 57 yards and one touchdown. The Texans released Leinart on March 13.

If Leinart signs with the Raiders, he'll be their second Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback from USC -- Carson Palmer is their current starter. Leinart would likely be competing with Terrelle Pryor for the backup QB role.
