Long-time Detroit Tigers infielder Brandon Inge is expected to sign with the Oakland Athletics, according to the Associated Press. Inge was released by the Tigers Thursday after a slow start to the 2012 season.

According to the AP report, Inge will sign with the A's if he passes a team physical. In his 12 year career with Detroit, Inge batted .234/.304/.387 with 140 home runs.
