Clippers' Caron Butler Likely Done For Playoffs With Broken Hand
We have an injury update on Caron Butler of the L.A. Clippers -- it is indeed a fractured hand, and Butler is likely out for the rest of the playoffs, the team announced today.
Butler sustained the injury in the third quarter of the Clips' comeback Game 1 win over the Memphis Grizzlies -- he got caught in Rudy Gay's jersey coming off a screen, and the hand was stuck. Butler broke the fifth metacarpal in his left hand; an X-ray taken later in the game confirmed the injury.
The Clippers said today that Butler is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks. The Clips face the Grizzlies in Game 2 on Wednesday night at 9:30 p.m.
