Report: Amar'e Stoudemire "Almost Certain" To Miss Game 3

New York Knicks power-forward Amar’e Stoudemire is “almost certain” to miss Game 3 against the Miami Heat on Thursday, a source has told ESPN New York.

Stoudemire hurt his hand after punching an encased fire extinguisher following last night’s 104-94 loss to the Heat in Game 2 of the opening round of the NBA Playoffs. The All-Star forward’s cuts were so bad that paramedics had to be summoned to the scene.

ESPN New York is also reporting that there is a possibility that the injury could keep Stoudemire out the rest of the series.

The 29-year-old apologized to fans via Twitter last night, saying that he was not proud of his actions, and that they were done out of anger.
