Report: Jerry Colangelo Will 'Probably' Add Players To USA Basketball Roster

The United States released its preliminary roster for basketball at this summer's Olympics back in mid-March, but since then, a flurry have injuries have becursed Team USA and put the program in a tricky position with London on the horizon. Now, according to USA Basketball director Jerry Colangelo, some additions may have to be made.

From the AP's Brian Mahoney:

Of the original 20 players on Team USA's list, five (LaMarcus Aldridge, Chauncey Billups, Dwight Howard, Kevin Love and now Kevin Love) have become serious injury concerns, and a sixth (Lamar Odom) has deteriorated for other, off-court reasons. The Americans are running desperately low on bodies for this summer's Games.

If Colangelo does decide to add more talent, there's no shortage of available guys to choose from. Among the star American players omitted from the original list are Andrew Bynum, Josh Smith, James Harden and Rajon Rondo. Presumptive No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis could also make for a wild-card selection.
