Free-agent quarterback Vince Young will work out for the Buffalo Bills as a potential back up option for Ryan Fitzpatrick, according to a tweet from the team’s official account.

Young posted a 60.8 passer rating last year in six games for the Philadelphia Eagles while filling in for Michael Vick. The former first round pick threw for just 866 yards while tossing four touchdowns and nine interceptions.

In 2010-11, Young posted a 98.6 passer rating while splitting snaps in Tennessee. That year he threw for 1,255 yards and 10 touchdowns while also running for 125 yards on 25 carries. Young was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in 2006 after leading the Texas Longhorns to a national title over the heavily favored USC Trojans.
