Notre Dame forward Tim Abromaitis' request for a sixth year of eligibility was denied by the NCAA, the school announced Tuesday.

Abromaitis tore his ACL early last season, and missed most of the year. He played in just two games during the 2011-12 season. His career will end with a scoring average of 13.7 points per game. He will not appeal the decision.
