Report: Phillies' Cliff Lee Progressing In Comeback From Strained Oblique

Cliff Lee is recovering quickly from the strained left oblique that's sidelined him the last two weeks -- the Philadelphia Phillies' hurler threw a painless bullpen session today at Turner Field in Atlanta, according to Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Lee, who hasn't pitched since April 18 due to a strained left oblique, is scheduled to throw another bullpen session Saturday and could make his return next week.

"That's the plan," Lee said. "That's always flexible."

Lee has made three starts this season -- he's got a 1.96 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 23.0 innings, but the Phillies are surprisingly 0-3 in his starts.
