The Baltimore Orioles are close to signing infielder Miguel Tejada, according to Britt Ghiroli of MLB.com. According to Ghiroli, Tejada will report to the team’s spring training facility to take a physical on Monday.

According to Ghiroli, as long as Tejada passes his physical, a contract is very close, though it is unclear how long Tejada would need to get into game shape. Tejada, 37, spend last season with the San Francisco Giants, playing in 91 games and hitting .239 with four home runs and 26 RBIs. Tejada has played for the Orioles in two separate stints (five seasons total) and has hit .305 with 109 home runs in 716 games for Baltimore.
