Andy Pettitte will reportedly make his return to the Major Leagues on Sunday when he will start for the New York Yankees, according to the YES Network.
Pettitte, 39, decided late this spring that he wanted to make a comeback after a one-year retirement. He is currently ramping up for the season in the Yankees’ minor league system.
In 2010, Pettitte posted an 11-3 record with a 3.28 ERA in 21 starts. The three-time All-Star’s return will help a struggling Yankees rotation which just had to send Michael Pineda to the disabled list for the rest of the season.
