Major League Baseball has fined Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo an undisclosed amount for his comments about Cole Hamels, according to CSN Philadelphia.

Rizzo lashed out at Hamels in a profanity filled tirade after the Philadelphia Phillies hurler told reporters that he had intentionally hit 19-year-old Nationals rookie Bryce Harper because he is, "old school."

“Cole Hamels says he’s old-school,” Rizzo told the Washington Post Monday. “He’s the polar opposite of old-school. He’s fake tough. He thinks he’s going to intimidate us after hitting our 19-year-old rookie who’s eight games into the big leagues? He doesn’t know who he’s dealing with.” Hamels was suspended five games for admitting that he had intentionally targeted Harper.
